DAZN wanted to engage fans globally during FIFA World Cup 2026 – but only had the broadcast rights for the tournament in select markets, so a cunning approach was needed.

The results
⚽ 154 million impressions
🎥 150 million organic video views
💬 7.5 million engagements
🌍 Audiences reached in more than 50 countries
HOW IT CAME TO LIFE
First, we set about on a global talent hunt, inviting content creators around the world to submit applications to represent their nation at the World Cup.
Once the finalists were selected, a dedicated DAZN48 hub was set up on the DAZN platform, bringing together daily content from every participating nation, and giving fans a single destination to follow the tournament through local perspectives.
In select markets, brands were brought on board to sponsor content and create bespoke content.
The initiative culminated in a live watch-along for the FIFA World Cup Final, which attracted 316,000 views.
Beyond the numbers, DAZN48 built a global football community around authentic creator-led storytelling and reinforced DAZN's position as a fan-first sports entertainment platform.
DAZN48 was shortlisted for Best Social Media Campaign at the Broadcast Sport Awards 2026.
